Shiksha Tutorials (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through www.shikshatutorials.in, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
When you submit an enquiry, request a demo session, or contact us, we may collect:
- Parent/guardian details: name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number.
- Student details: name, grade/programme (e.g., IB DP, IGCSE), subjects of interest, country of residence.
- Communication records: messages sent via our enquiry form, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children without a parent or guardian initiating contact; enquiry forms are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian on the student’s behalf.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Understand your tutoring requirements and match you with a suitable tutor.
- Communicate with you about demo sessions, scheduling, and academic progress updates.
- Improve our services and respond to enquiries.
- Send occasional updates about our services, where you have not opted out.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Tutors engaged to teach your child, limited to what’s needed to deliver tutoring (name, subject/grade, contact details for scheduling).
- Service providers that support our operations (e.g., email or scheduling tools), under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities, if required by law.
We do not share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Communication Channels
We may contact you via email, phone, or WhatsApp using the details you provide. Standard messaging/data rates from your provider may apply, and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy governs messages sent through that platform.
5. Data Retention
We retain enquiry and student records for as long as needed to provide services and maintain academic progress history, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Cookies
Google Analytics is used to track visitors. Google Analytics uses small text files called browser cookies to recognize unique visitors and track their behaviour across a website without tracking personal data.
7. International Users
We work with students and families based outside India, including in the UK, US, UAE, Singapore, and other countries. By providing your information, you consent to it being processed in India in accordance with this general policy.
8. Security
We do not share data with any third party.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
